Hey there — my name’s Eirik. A few years back, my wife Marianne and I took a chance and bought a forgotten farm on the west coast of Norway. The fields were overgrown and soggy, the drainage was gone, and the old wood-and-stone barn had completely collapsed. It was rough. But it was also full of potential. Our goal? To bring this place back to life — restoring the land, rebuilding the barn, raising sheep, growing real food without chemicals, and building a peaceful, self-sustaining home for our two kids.

Farming has been a passion of mine since I was a child, playing in the hay on my grandparents’ farm. Marianne and I bonded over our shared love for the outdoors and animals, and for years, we dreamed of having a farm of our own. In 2015, that dream came true.

The farm we found was in rough shape — which was exactly why we could afford it. But that was just the beginning. We had one big question to figure out: how could we make a living from it?

For years, we brainstormed everything — from bed & breakfasts and tourism, to farm vacations and even keeping exotic animals. But the wildest idea of all? Social media. And that’s how Norwegian Farm Life, our YouTube channel, was born.
